Audio Archive — Help & Tips
Listening & downloading
- The audio doesn't play when attempting to stream
- This could be for a number of different reasons, but most of the time it's because you haven't allowed enough time for the audio file to buffer. If you continue to experience problems when streaming, we suggest downloading and installing QuickTime for streaming audio, or using the "download" option instead.
- Managing your downloaded files
- We suggest using iTunes for listening and organizing your digital audio library.
Podcasting
- Podcast errors
- If a podcast returns an error (signified by an exclamation mark in iTunes) it's either because your internet connection is not stable or the feed itself won't validate. If this happens make sure your connection is okay (by visiting another website, checking email, etc.) and report the problem if it persists.
iPod
- General iPod issues
- Most (literally, 90% or more) issues with your iPod can be resolved by performing a simple hardware reset of the device. To do this hold down the menu and select (center) buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds. This will reset your iPod without erasing any music or data.
